Once upon a time,
the Montreal’s Christmas Village
In Montreal, The Montreal’s Christmas Village Organization has embarked on the challenge of offering Quebecers all the magic of traditional European markets.
The adventure began in 2015 at the TOHU, emblematic site of arts and entertainment. In 2017, the Montreal’s South-West borough launched an invitation to the Montreal’s Christmas Village to unfold at the Atwater Market Place, across the famous market longing the St-Ambroise Street. An ideal location, in a dynamic area and near the Lionel-Groulx metro station.
But the Montreal’s Christmas Village represents above all a passionate team that loves challenges! Line Basbous, co-founder, had one dream: to reconstitute the enchantment of the European Christmas Markets in Montreal. Dozens of happy volunteers joined her in this task.
In a nutshell, you will find a multicultural Christmas Village at the Atwater market: adorned with a huge raclette party, a feria night (traditional Southern France event) but also with maple taffy, local crafts and poutine! An European style Christmas Market but with a Quebec flavor!
