New festival this summer in Montreal:
The Noël des Campeurs (Campers' Christmas)
For the past 3 years, the Montreal’s Christmas Village has been unfolding during the holiday season at the Atwater Market, and continues to expand and grow each year. We wanted to extend this project in a different way, cocktail and swimsuit included.
This is how the Montreal Campers’ Christmas project came to life. This festival, whose first edition will take place from July 26th to the 28th, 2019, will be celebrating the tradition that bears the same name, popular in Quebec’s campsites where Christmas is celebrated at the end of July. The event will be held on the magnificent Berge des Coursiers, on the banks of the Lachine Canal, just steps away from the Old Port of Montreal and the iconic Five Roses flour factory.
The program is varied and is aimed at all audiences: music and entertainment, open air restaurant, outdoor games for young and grown-ups, artisan market, introductory camping workshops offered by Parks Canada, Christmas brunch... All one needs to hang out and have fun with family and friends. The parking and the admission to the event are free.
Cherry on the cake: the public has the opportunity to camp on the spot the night of Saturday to Sunday. Equipped for camping or not, here is an absolutely unique chance to go camping in the heart of Montreal this summer! Friendly warning, camping spots are limited.
We are proud to offer the city of Montreal this new summer festival, festive and fun, which brings to life and entertains Quebec’s traditions. We are thankful to Parks Canada for their collaboration, for offering us the opportunity to set camp on such a beautiful site along the Lachine Canal - la Berge des Coursiers.
